Your Passion Is Waiting…

“Your passion is waiting for your courage to catch up.”

 -Isabelle Lafleche-

This quote terrified me when I first read it.

At that point in my life, I was desperate to know what came next. I lacked vision. I felt lost and longed for clarity. I was at a point of complete surrender. I responded by pleading with the Universe - “I’m ready to be brave, just tell me which direction to go!”

I was terrified of standing still, of missing opportunities, of wasting life waiting (whatever that means…).

This was an intersection of faith and action that became one of the greatest lessons of my life. On a deeper level, I knew that trusting fate and owning my story was a partnership. I knew that this was where the magic happened.

This lesson is ongoing, but so far, I’ve learned that living in action and faith means…

  • showing up. (This is my part of the bargain.)

  • letting go of a timeline.

  • controlling what I can, but not controlling everything.

  • shifting my percentage of logic toward intuition.

Maybe this quote doesn’t spark the same existential crisis in you as it sparked in me, but I wanted to share its powerful lesson.

And I am curious…

What does this quote bring up for you?

How do you balance faith and action in your life?
